A Saddle Threshold gets its name due to it's design. Like a horse saddle that wraps around the horse's back, a saddle threshold wraps around the threshold of the door. Saddle thresholds are symmetrical shapes designed to span a given area, usually under a door. In the closed position, the door butts up to bumper seal on threshold creating a seal against the elements.
This 4.8" Utility Threshold has a smooth top that prevents mud, ice, and snow from gathering in the grooves ensuring easy maintenance. It is fire rated and wheelchair accessible. Available in various different finishes and is custom cut to size.
